Answer: A quicker option would be to cross the border on foot and take the Hong Kong MTR. There are two foot borders – one in Luohu adjacent to Shenzhen Railway Station and Luohu Metro Station (Line 1) on the Shenzhen side and Lo Wu MTR station on the HK side; and the other is in Futian District above Futian Checkpoint Metro station (Line 4) on the Shenzhen side and Lok Ma Chau station on the HK side. From there you can take the MTR East Rail Line directly to Hung Hom – it takes about 40 minutes and costs HK$36.50. You should also allow 20-30 minutes to cross the border.
