I will travel from Lijiang to Shangri-La on October 24, 2019. Can I book a ticket in advance at Lijiang Bus Station on October 21, 2019? If not, when will it be the time to book the ticket in advance?

I want to take a bus from Lijiang to Shangri la on 30-October-2019 I've read a comment below saying it is not possible to purchase the tickets online. Is there any chance that all the bus seats will be taken ? Would you recommend to come to the station and buy the tickets with some days in advance or would it be enough to come before departure? and how long before - 30min, 1 hour? Besides, I want to buy from Shangri-La to Dali on 31-October-2019. Please advise.

@ChinaBusGuide I read there is a bus from Shangri La to those White Water Terraces. Info can be found using Google search: Just search "Bus from Shangri La to White Water Terraces"

(10.07.2019)

@Sara small bus stations don't put their timetabled online at all, so we have no way to tell you if the White Water Terraces has bus to Shangri La or not.

Sara (10.07.2019)

Hi! My friends and I will be visiting Shangri La next week. We are traveling to Lijiang and then taking a bus to Shangri La. We would like to stop at the White water terraces on the way to SL, are there any buses from the terraces to SL? If so, what times?

(07.07.2019)

@Guest 1. Yes, online tickets specified here are not sold to international travelers using passports, and you will have to purchase tickets directly from ticket counter of the departure station. 2. Yes, you are advised to arrive 1-2 hours in advance to purchase tickets. 3. You should submit passport and pay Renminbi cash to purchase ticket. Visa is not required. Let me know with further question.

Guest (07.07.2019)

Hello, I have a few questions about booking tickets 1) Tickets are sold only at the counter (bus station), right? 2) I would like to take a bus from lijiang to Shangri la at 17.10 on 15/07/19 , so how long in advance should I buy a ticket? Are 1-2 hrs before departure time enough? 3) any required documents to purchase ticket?

(07.06.2019)

@Kai 1. Reserving in advance is better; if you can't do so, just come to the bus station in your earliest time possible to purchase tickets on the date of travel. 2. Some buses are large sized and some are middle sized. Large buses have higher ticket price than that of middle buses. 3. Riding distances are rough estimations and they should be used for reference only. All buses would drop off passengers at same station.

Hello! I have 2 questions: 1- My friend and I want to take a bus from Linjiang to Shangri la on June 17. I've read a comment below saying it is not possible to purchase the tickets online. Is there any chance that all the bus seats will be taken ? Would you recommend to come to the sation and buy the tickets with some days in advance or would it be enough to come before departure? and how long before - 30min, 1 hour? 2- what is the difference - apart from price - between the buses that take 178km and the ones takin 181km to arrive to Shangri la? Do they drop the passenger off in different location? Thank you

(06.03.2019)

@Bussaya tickets on this route are not sold online and you will have to purchase them yourself from the bus station.

Bussaya (05.03.2019)

How could I booking tickets from Lijiang to Shangri la?

(01.02.2019)

@Sawlee almost all buses would leave on time. Riding time is rough estimation and it's not 100% correct. It has different sizes of buses running on this route, some has 50 seats, some has less. You are required to submit passport to purchase tickets and you can purchase tickets on behalf of other people with their passports.

Sawlee (01.02.2019)

Lijiang to Shangri La only 3hrs30minits? Is the departure time puncture? How many passengers in bus? Do we need passports to buy tickets? So all passengers have to be at the ticket counter? If we have 7people, 7of us have to be there with passport?

(24.01.2019)

@Max yes, I think it's possible to transport the mountain bikes through the long distance bus. But since we are not the right person to give you final answer, I would advise you go to the bus station to consult the ticket person or even the bus driver. If the bus is not full and if it has enough space for your bikes, the driver may agree with you on this regard.

Max (24.01.2019)

Hi there, I‘m wondering if the bus between Lijang and Shangri La also transports Mountainbikes? Do you know if there is a possibility? Thanks a lot
