Locating at No. 811, Zhongyi 1st Road of Yuhua District, Changsha South Bus Station is now undergoing expansion. The new state of the art station will not open until the beginning of 2019. During this time, all bus services will be moved to the transit bus station which is specified above.
As the biggest long distance bus station of the city, it has 1,000 daily departures running for Zhuzhou, Xiangtan, Shaoyang, Loudi, Huaihua, Hengyang, Chenzhou, Yongzhou in Hunan province as well as inter-province buses for Jiangsu, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Gansu, Ningxia, Henan, Anhui, Shandong, Fujian, Hainan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Zhejiang, Hubei, Jiangxi and Guizhou.
