Ningbo South Bus Station locates in the downtown, with Ningbo Railway Station to its north, Yongshuiqiao Road to its South and Cangsong Road to its west. Among the four long distance bus stations in Ningbo city, the south bus station is the busiest and largest one. It operates more than 60 routes with a fleet of 350 buses transporting about 15,000 passengers everyday. Buses from Ningbo South Bus Station mainly leave for Hangzhou, Pinghu, Jiaxing, Shanghai, Ninghai, Yuyao, Cixi, Putuoshan Shenjiamen, Zhujiajian, Xikou Scenic Area and etc. Ningbo South Bus Station is excellently complementary to Ningbo Railway Station which enables passengers to change between buses and trains promptly. The high speed trains usually make detours while the intercity buses take the straightforward routes, so it doesn't make sense if you travel by bus or train to travel from Ningbo to cities of annulus Hangzhou Bay as both transportation modes take similar travel time.
