Here we divide Wulingyuan into two parts: the city and the secnic area. The downtown Wulingyuan is not large and it takes you just one hour to walk around the city. In case you get lost, an asking for passperby will enable you find yourself quickly. Wulingyuan Scenic Area has good transporation with footpath, environmental protection shuttle bus, cableway, sightseeing lift avaiable everywhere. In this article, we'd like to feature on Wulingyuan Bus Station, the only long distance bus station in Wulingyuan District of Zhangjiajie City to help you plan the travel itinerary.
Main Content List:Wulingyuan Bus Station locates to the west side of Guihua Road(桂花路),with Weiyang Road (未央路) to its south. It's about 1 km east to Wujiayu Ticket Station (吴家峪门票站) which represents one of the five entrances to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. The bus station covers an area of 28 Mu with a 3245 square-meter waiting room which can accommodate more than 200 passengers simultaneously. Wulingyuan Bus Station is a 2nd class provincial bus terminal and it is not large in scale. However, it has first class service. Besides passenger transportation service, it has traveler infromation center, hotel, restaurant and shop providing complete turn-key services to travelers. Wulingyuan Bus Station sends 300 buses per day with daily ridership of more than 4,000. It has shuttle buses for Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, the Grand Canyon Glass Bridge, Zhangjiajie Railway Station and Zhangjiajie Central Bus Station in the downtown.

As the only long distance bus station in Wulingyuan district, Wulingyuan Bus Station has scheduled buses for Taishan city (台山)of Guangdong Province, Changsha, Shimen County(石门县), Yangliupu(杨柳铺), Sangzhi County (桑植县), Fenghuang Ancient City (凤凰古城), Changde (常德), Lixian County (澧县) and Zhuzhou City (株洲).

Wulingyuan Bus Station doesn't sell tickets online to people using passports and international travelers will have to go to its ticket window and submit passports to purchase/reserve tickets. During the busy season, buses for Changsha and Fenghuang Ancient City would be very busy and China Bus Guide advise passengers for the above two destinations to reserve tickets in advance if you can. Tickets on shuttle buses for Zhangjiajie downtown, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon are not sold through ticket windows. Upon arrival to the bus station, you can just follow the destination board and go directly to the boarding area to get on the shuttle buses. The conductor will sell tickets to you during the bus journey.
